The purpose of the analysis is to determine the protection scheme against overcurrents in the electrical network, configuring the protection devices from the load to the source.

The study allows calculating the adjustments of the protection devices, the duration times and the trajectories of the fault to isolate it and not impact upstream in the electrical network. In this way, equipment and personnel will be protected.

Each device has a Time and Current Curve (TCC) that graphically represents the behavior of the operating current of the protections as a function of time. Maximum protection and continuity of service is intended, without the TCC curves overlapping, and when the overcurrent fault is isolated by the upstream protection that operates immediately.

The applicable regulations are NOM-001-SEDE-2012.
